The
vineyards of the Aconcagua Valley are fed by more than 100
canals and aqueducts, each carrying runoff from the Andes
Mountains via the Aconcagua River and its tributaries. With
its natural abundance of nutrient-rich water, this valley
is produces high quality grapes in abundance. The Acancagua
Valley has two major growing regions -- Los Andes and San
Felipe that enjoy warm days and cool nights. This climate
gives the regions wine grapes superior quality and concentration.
Among the favorite wine grape varieties grown here are Cabernet
Sauvignon, Carmenere and Syrah. |
